Dress Code

Clay International Academy Dress Code


In efforts to promote school spirit for Clay International Academy (CIA), scholars may wear spirit wear every day to school. Students may wear any shirt or clothing item that is purchased at school and that has any CIA logo on it. CIA athletic spirit wear is acceptable for students to wear to school. All funds raised through a purchase of spirit wear will sponsor student programs at the school.


If scholars are not wearing CIA spirit wear, they should adhere to the following dress code:


Tops:


Tops should be red, yellow (any shade), white, light blue, navy blue, grey or black. 

Tops should have a collar (unless it’s spirit wear)

Tops should be free of large images and inappropriate language (small logos are fine)


Bottoms:


Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be longer than finger-tip at arm’s length   

Shorts are only permissible 1st and 4th quarter   

Colors - tan/khaki, navy or black   

No blue jeans or sweats

Bottoms should not be form fitting

Shoes must be appropriate for school. Please, no open toed sandals, slides, or flip flops


Notes:


Students can wear tops with hoods but should not have the hood up.
